The Opportunity

We are seeking a high-caliber Commissioning Supervisor with a strong Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) background to lead the field execution for the Flotation Integrity Project at Olympic Dam. This is a critical leadership role responsible for transitioning assets from the construction phase through to successful Stage 2 (Cold) Commissioning. You will oversee the "boots on the ground," ensuring that technical standards are met safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Field Leadership: Supervise and coordinate trades and labor teams during the pre-commissioning and Stage 2 commissioning phases.

  • Work Pack Management: Own the development and rollout of comprehensive work packs, ensuring technicians have the documentation, permits, and tools required for asset verification.

  • Technical Oversight: Lead the functional testing of individual assets, specifically focusing on valves, pumps, and water circuit instrumentation.

  • E&I Interface: Act as the primary point of contact for E&I commissioning activities, including loop checks, motor rotations, and instrument calibrations.

  • Progress Tracking: Maintain real-time reporting on commissioning completion, managing the "Punch List" and ensuring all E&I defects are rectified before system handover.

  • Safety & Isolation: Manage site-specific safety protocols, including complex LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures and ensuring compliance with Olympic Dam’s rigorous safety standards.

The Ideal Candidate

We need a leader who is technically sharp and has the authority to drive results in a complex brownfield environment.

  • Supervisory Experience: Proven track record in a supervisory role within heavy industrial construction or commissioning.

  • Pre-Commissioning Expert: Deep knowledge of Stage 1 and Stage 2 commissioning sequences and "Individual Asset" verification.

  • Technical Background: Strong E&I aptitude; you must be able to read complex schematics and troubleshoot control logic alongside your team.

  • Olympic Dam Experience: Prior experience working at Olympic Dam is a significant advantage, providing familiarity with site access, safety culture, and operational expectations.

  • Asset Proficiency: Hands-on experience with fluid management systems (pumps and automated valving) is essential.

  • Documentation Skills: Ability to translate technical requirements into clear, actionable work packs for a diverse workforce.

What’s in it for You?

  • Project Impact: Lead a vital integrity project on a Tier 1 resource asset.

  • Competitive Roster: Excellent FIFO conditions with all flights, meals, and accommodation provided.

  • Professional Growth: Opportunity to showcase your leadership in a high-pressure, technical environment.
